Frequently Asked Questions
How should I prepare for my appointment?
I kindly ask that clients shower before their appointment. If interested in incorporating facial sculpting or buccal massage in your session, please arrive with a cleansed face free of any product or makeup. If you would like, you may bring your preferred facial oil/cream for any facial massage appointments. If you have long hair, bringing a hair tie or clip is wonderful but not necessary. In the hours leading up to your appointment, please make sure you are hydrated and adequately fed. Please try to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time in order to use the restroom, enjoy some water, and complete a brief intake before your time on the table begins.
Do you take insurance?
Unfortunately at this time I am unable to accept insurance. I am happy to provide a receipt that you may choose to submit for reimbursement if that is part of your insurance plan. What payment methods do you accept?
I accept cash, Venmo, CashApp, Paypal, and Zelle. I can also provide a payable invoice via Square if that is preferred. How often should I receive bodywork?
When I was in massage school, I was receiving bodywork between 3-6 times a week. There is no harm in regular massage when administered thoughtfully and appropriately, though I most clients come in one to three times a month for regular stress management, addressing specific issues, or maintaining facial tone from facial sculpting. This is unique to the individual and I am happy to discuss treatment planning. Are there any conditions that would prevent me from receiving bodywork?
Unfortunately, there are several conditions that may prevent me from massaging you. Exceptions may be granted if you have a note from your doctor explicitly stating that you are cleared to receive massage. If you are sick in any way (fever, cold, etc.) please reschedule your appointment. If you have been diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis or blood clots of any kind, I will not be able to massage you. If you have recently had a major surgery or experienced any kind of severe physical trauma, please consult with your doctor or surgeon before booking a session. I do not treat clients with unstable aneurysms or uncontrolled high blood pressure. Please refrain from receiving Botox or filler within 3 weeks of your appointment if you are planning to integrate facial sculpting or buccal massage. I will conduct a health intake before your session but please be sure to mention if you have varicose veins, osteoporosis, blood or bleeding disorders, liver issues, cellulitis, cancer, lymphedema, and/or autoimmune issues so I can best tailor the massage to accommodate your comfort and safety. What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that clients give me 24 hours notice if cancelling a session. If a session is cancelled within 24 hours, the full service fee will be charged. There are never associated fees with rescheduling. Is your space accessible?
My private studio is located up a fairly steep paved driveway and requires going down several outdoor steps. If accessibility is a concern, feel free to contact me about scheduling a massage in the comfort of your own home!
